Lava on Wednesday launched its new 5G smartphone, the Lava Bold 5G, in India. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and features a 6.67-inch display. The phone has an IP64-rated build and a 64-megapixel rear camera unit. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. The Lava Bold 5G will go on sale on Amazon next week.

The Lava Bold 5G starts at Rs 10,499. It will come in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage configurations and will be available in Sapphire Blue colour. It will go on sale on Amazon from April 8 at 12 noon IST.

The Lava Bold 5G runs on Android 14, which will get Android 15 upgrade and two years of security updates. It has a 6.67-inch 3D curved AMOLED display, which supports 120Hz refresh rate. It has up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage with MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. Here the memory can be expanded up to 8GB with the virtual RAM feature.
Talking about the camera, it has a rear camera with AI-backed 64-megapixel Sony sensor and a 16-megapixel front camera. The phone has an IP64-rated build for water and dust resistance. Lava Bold 5G has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. It has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 33W wired fast charging.
Lava Shark
Lava also launched the Lava Shark phone in India late last month. This entry-level smartphone comes with an AI-backed 50-megapixel main rear camera sensor. It has a Unisoc T606 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of dynamic RAM. The phone runs on Android 14 and is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.
It also has AI imaging features, face unlock and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lava Shark is currently available for sale in the country through offline channels.

The Lava Shark price in India has been set at Rs 6,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration. Lava is also offering customers a 1-year warranty and free service at home. The phone is currently available for purchase in the country through Lava retail stores. It is offered in Stealth Black and Titanium Gold colour options.
