The 2025 Yamaha MT 15 has been launched in Malaysia with new updates. It has been given a new color option. This bike launched there has fewer features than the Indian version. It has been priced at RM 12498 (about Rs 2.43 lakh) in Malaysia, which is the same as the previous model.

What’s new in the 2025 Yamaha MT 15?

It has been launched in Malaysia. The biggest update in this is its new Ice Storm color option. It has Ice Blue color highlights on the fuel tank and subframe. Its alloy wheels are also painted in the same shade. This new color option will be offered along with the existing Midnight Black scheme. The price of this new version has been kept at RM 12,498 (about Rs 2.43 lakh), which is the same as the previous model.

Engine and Performance

The Malaysian variant of MT 15 uses the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Its engine generates 19.3 PS of power and 14.7 Nm of torque. It gives about 0.9 PS and 0.6 Nm less power than the Indian variant.

Suspension and Braking

It has a Deltabox frame, which is suspended by a 37mm golden inverted fork in the front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. For braking, it has a 282mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc brake at the rear, while the Indian variant gets a rear disc of 220mm.

Dimension and hardware differences

The Malaysian model has a curb weight of 133kg, ground clearance of 155mm and front tire of 110 section, while the Indian model weighs 141kg, ground clearance of 170mm and front tire of 100 section. This bike available in both the countries has a 10-liter fuel tank.

Features

  • The Yamaha MT 15 has fully LED lighting, negative full-digital display, which provides information about gear position indicator, shift light, real time mileage and Bluetooth connectivity. Turn-by-turn navigation is not available in both the India and Malaysia versions.
  • Talking about safety features, dual-channel ABS, traction control, hazard light switch and side stand engine cut-off have been provided, whereas the Yamaha MT 15 available in India does not have LED indicator and hazard switch in Metallic Black and Dark Matte Blue color variants.
