Vivo’s new mid-range smartphone, the Vivo Y400 Pro 5G, has been officially launched in India. This is not Vivo’s last smartphone launch this month as the Vivo T4 Lite 5G will be unveiled on June 24. Coming to the Y400 Pro, it is the successor to the Y300 that was launched in India last year. The Y300 Pro and Y300 Pro Plus models were launched in China last year, but only the Pro Plus model was launched in India as the Vivo T4 5G. There is no standard version of the Vivo Y400 Pro. Vivo Y400 Pro 5G price and availability
The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G is available in two storage variants – 128GB and 256GB. They are priced at Rs 24,999 and Rs 26,999 respectively. Both variants have 8GB of RAM as standard. It comes in three colours: Fest Gold, Nebula Purple, and Freestyle White. It can be purchased from Vivo’s official website, Flipkart, Amazon, and retail stores across India. Pre-orders are now open and sales will begin on June 27.
To make the deal even more attractive, Vivo has announced several launch offers. Buyers can get up to 10 percent cashback on various bank cards, including SBI Cards, DBS Bank, IDFC First Bank, Yes Bank and others. Apart from this, the Rs 1,199 Jio prepaid plan will also get free access to 10 OTT apps for two months. Also, there is a bundle deal offer on TWS 3e ANC earbuds, which can be purchased for Rs 1,499. There is also a flat 20 percent discount on V-Shield screen damage protection plan and one year free extended warranty.
Vivo Y400 Pro 5G Specifications and Features
The Vivo Y400 Pro 5G sports a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with full HD resolution (2392×1080) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel supports HDR playback, which improves the brightness, contrast, and color range of images or videos. The display also has a 300Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. For authentication, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock via the front-facing camera.

The Vivo Y400 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, which is a 4nm octa-core processor. It has four high-performance Cortex A78 cores, clocked at 2.5GHz, and four Cortex A55 cores, clocked at 2.0GHz. It is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. It doesn’t have an SD card slot, but supports extended RAM (8GB). There’s a 5,500mAh battery inside, which supports 90W fast charging, allowing the device to charge in about 53 minutes. There’s also support for bypass charging while gaming.
Talking about optics in Vivo Y400 Pro, it has a dual-camera system. It includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. A 32-megapixel front camera has been provided for selfies and video calls. 4K video recording can be done at 30fps from both the front and rear cameras. 60fps video recording at 1080p is also supported.
The Vivo Y400 Pro runs Funtouch OS 15, which is based on Android 15. The company has promised 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security patches. It includes AI tools like Focus Mode, AI Recorder, AI Note Assist, Circle to Search, AI Document, AI Screen Translation, AI Live Text and AI Super Link. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB-C port for charging and file transfer. The Y400 Pro has also received an IP65 rating for dust and water protection.
